Luke Laidley, a 9/11 survivor, tragically drowned while attempting to save children who were struggling in the waters of Lake Michigan near Centennial Park Beach in Winnetka. Laidley, a devoted husband and father, had a successful career in finance and was actively involved in his community. His family remembers him as a hero who lived a life of purpose and service to others.
