The 80/35 Music Festival, after 14 years at Western Gateway Park in downtown Des Moines, will be moving to Water Works Park starting in 2024. Organizers announced the move during this year's festival, which is headlined by The War on Drugs and Big Boi.
The 80/35 Music Festival, which has been held in downtown Des Moines since its inception in 2008, has announced a move to Water Works Park for its 2024 edition. The decision was made due to a lack of space at the current location. Festival organizer Mickey Davis believes the new venue will provide more room for experimental opportunities, including additional stages and the possibility of camping. While some attendees expressed concerns about parking, others welcomed the change and praised the park's amenities. Davis is confident that the festival's fans will still have a great experience at the new location.
