"Severe Flooding Paralyzes Long Beach, SoCal Drivers Struggle Amid Record Rainfall"
Major flooding in Long Beach shut down a portion of the 710 Freeway and delayed drivers as the first of two storms hit Southern California, causing at least four vehicles to be submerged in water. The southbound lanes of the freeway near Pacific Coast Highway were closed due to flooding, with several vehicles getting stuck and partially submerged. A flash flood warning was issued for the South Bay area, including Long Beach, as rain fell at rates between 1 and 1.5 inches per hour, raising the risk of flooding.
