Canon has launched the EOS C400, a new 6K full-frame RF-mount cinema camera designed for film and live production. It features a back-illuminated stacked image sensor with triple-base ISO, extensive ports for expandability, and supports various recording modes including 6K at 60fps and 4K at 120fps. The camera will be available in September for $7,999, alongside a new PL-RF mount adapter.

Blackmagic Design has unveiled the PYXIS 6K Camera, featuring a box design, 6K sensor, and dual CFexpress media recorders, priced at $2,995 USD. The camera offers a full-frame sensor, dual native ISO up to 25,600, and multiple lens mount options. It can shoot in various resolutions and frame rates, records in Blackmagic RAW, and features a built-in 4" HDR touchscreen. With a range of connections for audio, monitoring, and power, the camera also supports streaming to platforms like YouTube and Facebook. The PYXIS 6K will be available in June and is expected to be a disruptor in the market despite lacking internal ND filters and ProRes recording options.
