Harry Kane hits 500 goals: chasing more records
Harry Kane became the first Englishman to reach 500 official goals in 743 appearances, after a brace for Bayern Munich against Werder Bremen. His goals span Leyton Orient, Leicester, Millwall, Tottenham, Bayern and England, with 213 Premier League goals and 78 for England; he has 48 Champions League goals, the most by an Englishman in European competition. Looking ahead, he could surpass Lewandowski’s Bundesliga single-season 41 and extend his own English Champions League record (eight goals this season, 11 last term). Ronaldo reached 500 in 753 games; Messi did it in 632.
