Xiaomi has unveiled the Xiaomi 14 Ultra in China, showcasing its 1-inch camera sensor, 6.73-inch OLED LTPO display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, and a 5,300 mAh battery with 90W wired charging and 80W wireless charging. The device also features a 50MP main camera with dual aperture, ultrawide and telephoto lenses, and a titanium special edition with two-way satellite communication. The starting price in China is CNY 6,499, with global pricing to be revealed soon.

Alicia Monson broke the American record in the 5,000 meters at the London Diamond League, running a time of 14:19.45. She surpassed Shelby Houlihan's previous record and became the first American woman to run under 14:20. Monson finished fifth in the race, which was won by Gudaf Tsegay of Ethiopia. Monson has been having a record-breaking year, previously setting records in the indoor 3,000 meters and the 10,000 meters. She has secured her spot on Team USA for the World Championships in August but has not yet decided if she will compete in the 5,000 or 10,000 meters.

Faith Kipyegon broke the women's 5,000m world record in Paris with a time of 14:05.20, beating Ethiopia's Letesenbet Gidey, the previous record holder. Kipyegon is the first woman to hold both the 1500m and 5,000m world records simultaneously since 1969.
