Western Digital's tech company SanDisk has developed the world's first 4TB microSD card, the SanDisk Extreme PRO SDUC UHS-1, set to release in 2024 and showcased at NAB 2024. With a maximum data transfer rate of 104 MB/s, it supports write speeds of 30MB/s, suitable for 8K video recording. Speculation suggests it may support off-spec DDR200/DDR208 mode for higher transfer rates, potentially retailing for several hundred dollars more than the 1TB version.
