Samsung Unveils 4TB Upgrade for 990 Pro SSD
Samsung is set to release a 4TB version of its 990 Pro SSD this fall, expanding its retail lineup which previously only included 1TB and 2TB models. The 4TB SSD offers blazing-fast storage with up to 7,450 MB/s sequential read speed and up to 6,900 MB/s sequential write speed. It also achieves 1,400,000 IOPS for reads and 1,550,000 IOPS for writes. The drive will come in two versions, one with a graphene heat spreader for laptops and another with a larger aluminum heatsink for consistent performance under high loads. Pricing has not been disclosed, but it is expected to be in line with market realities.
