"Triumph and Determination: BYU Runner's Epic Comeback to Win Championship"
BYU runner Kenneth Rooks fell down during the 3000m steeplechase race at the USATF Outdoor Championships but managed to get back up and win the event for a national championship. Rooks closed the gap on the runners ahead of him, took the lead near the finish line, and finished with a personal best time of 8:16:78. He beat out professional runners to claim the title and has been a standout member of BYU's Track & Field team, earning All-America honors and winning the 2023 NCAA national title in steeplechase.
