The Los Angeles Angels have promoted Ben Joyce, a 2022 draft pick known for his triple-digit fastball velocity, to the majors for his MLB debut. Joyce will replace veteran lefty Matt Moore on the active roster after Moore suffered a strained oblique. Joyce is the second player from the 2022 draft to reach the majors. The Angels currently have a 28-25 record and are six games back of the Texas Rangers in the American League West.
