Thornton joins OSU’s 2,000-point club with key 27-point night
Bruce Thornton scored 27 points to reach 2,000 career points, becoming the third player in Ohio State history to hit the milestone and moving to No. 3 on the all-time OSU scoring list with 2,005 points. The Buckeyes defeated No. 24 Wisconsin 86-69 for their first ranked-win of the year, and Thornton, a four-time captain, is six points behind Herb Williams for second and 92 short of Dennis Hopson’s school record of 2,096.
