
Last Everest Expedition Pioneering Member Kanchha Sherpa Passes Away at 92
Kanchha Sherpa, the last surviving member of the 1953 Everest expedition that first summited Mount Everest, has died at age 92 in Nepal. He was a key Sherpa guide during the historic climb by Hillary and Tenzing Norgay and remained active in mountaineering for decades.
