Protesters Cause Traffic Chaos by Blocking 134 Freeway in Glendale
Several hundred protesters blocked one side of the 134 Freeway in Glendale to draw attention to the crisis in Artsakh, a landlocked republic with a large Armenian population. The protesters called for support from Rep. Adam Schiff, who has expressed support for ending the blockade but has faced criticism from some Armenian protesters for not doing enough. The protesters also gathered at Schiff's local office. The blockade by Azerbaijan has cut off the only overland connector to Armenia, and the protesters are calling for action from the Biden Administration, including humanitarian aid to Artsakh and sanctions on those responsible for the crisis.
