Six Israeli Soldiers Killed in Southern Lebanon Clash with Hezbollah

Six Israeli soldiers from the Golani Brigade's 51st Battalion were killed in southern Lebanon during a gunfight with Hezbollah militants. The soldiers, aged 19 to 22, were identified as Sergeant Shalev Itzhak Sagron, Captain Itay Marcovich, First Sergeant Sraya Elboim, First Sergeant Dror Hen, First Sergeant Nir Gofer, and Yoav Daniel. The incident occurred when Israeli troops entered a building suspected of housing Hezbollah terrorists. This brings the total number of Israeli soldiers killed since October 7 of last year to 792, with 373 fatalities since ground operations began.
