Tropical Storm Tammy Strengthens, Poses Threat to Eastern Caribbean Islands

Tropical Storm Tammy, currently located in the Atlantic, could potentially reach hurricane intensity by the end of the weekend, according to the National Hurricane Center. The storm is expected to move near or over the Leeward Islands on Friday and Saturday, with tropical storm watches issued for several areas. Tammy may bring heavy rainfall of up to 10 inches to parts of the northern Windward into the Leeward Islands, along with life-threatening surf and rip current conditions.
