Employers in China have been ordered to limit outdoor work due to scorching temperatures as the country grapples with heatwaves, flooding, and drought. Temperatures as high as 40°C (104°F) have been reported in several cities, prompting the weather agency to issue an orange alert for heat. Despite the restrictions, delivery workers for restaurants and online retailers are still working.
