"Global Adventure: Traveling the World Without Motors"

Canadian firefighter Markus Pukonen is set to complete his seven-year journey to circumnavigate the world using only non-motorized transport. Pukonen has traveled 80,000 kilometers across 29 countries, using various modes of transport including walking, cycling, skiing, rowing, and stand-up paddleboarding. He founded nonprofit organization Routes of Change to raise funds and awareness for small social and environmental organizations throughout his journey. Pukonen hopes to inspire people to change the way they look at the planet and realize their potential to make a difference. He plans to write a book and make a film about his journey and hopes to pass the baton to another adventurer to continue spreading the message.
