Elon Musk: Twitter Forced to Censor at Governmental Request

Elon Musk, who once called himself a "free speech absolutist," now says Twitter has no "actual choice" but to comply with governmental requests for censorship. Under Musk's leadership, Twitter approved 83% more requests for censorship from authoritarian governments like Turkey and India than before his takeover in October of last year. Musk has faced criticism for his apparent retaliation against critics and former employees on the platform.
