Italian Mother Triumphs in Evicting Adult Sons from Family Home

A 75-year-old retiree in Italy has won a court case to evict her two adult sons, aged 40 and 42, from her house. The woman complained that her sons, who have jobs, were living in her apartment without contributing financially or doing any housework. The sons argued that Italian law requires parents to take care of their children as long as necessary, but the judge ruled that the maintenance obligation no longer applies once the children reach a certain age. The sons have until December 18 to vacate the premises.
