Global Survey Reveals High Percentage of LGBTQ+ Identification and Financial Anxiety

A new Ipsos poll shows that about 9% of adults across 30 countries identify as LGBTQ, with Millennials and Gen Zers more likely to identify as queer, bisexual, pansexual, omnisexual, or asexual than older generations. The survey also indicates widespread respect for LGBTQ+ rights, with more people having interactions with them. More than half of respondents in 30 countries support same-sex marriage where it is legal, and the majority of respondents in 26 countries said same-sex couples are as likely to raise children successfully as other parents. The survey also shows surprising support for transgender people in countries like Thailand, Italy, and Spain compared with the United States, Eastern Europe, and Great Britain.
