Concerns over Safety Prompt Increased Police Monitoring at Endicott's Northside Pool

The Village of Endicott in New York is implementing additional security measures at the Northside Pool following an attack on a lifeguard. The Endicott Police Department will increase its visible presence at the pool, checking in with lifeguards and ensuring people can see the heightened security. The motive for the increased security is in response to previous incidents where lifeguards were attacked while attempting to remove individuals from the pool premises. The village also plans to have an additional pair of "adult eyes" on the pool deck to assist lifeguards in handling escalating situations. The pool's opening date has not been announced yet.
