Violent Protests Erupt in Northern Ireland Ahead of Biden's Visit

Police vehicles were firebombed with molotov cocktails during a dissident republican parade in Derry, Northern Ireland, one day before President Biden's visit. The parade was held to commemorate the anniversary of the 1916 Easter Rising, and also marks the 25-year anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement. The violence was called a "senseless and reckless attack" by the police chief in Derry, and comes amid increased terrorism threats in the region. Biden is set to meet with UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak in Belfast to commemorate the Good Friday Agreement before departing for Dublin to meet with Irish President Michael Higgins.
