"US House Condemns 'From the River to the Sea' Chant as Antisemitic with 44 Opposed"

Forty-four House members, mostly progressive Democrats, voted against a resolution condemning the slogan "from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free" as antisemitic, with one Republican also dissenting. The resolution passed by a wide margin. The House also passed several other Israel-related measures, with some progressive Democrats and the lone Republican dissenting on various bills. Rep. Rashida Tlaib dismissed the votes as distractions from the situation in Gaza and refused to vote on any of the bills.
