Ukraine accuses Hungary of blocking access to returned POWs.

Ukraine has accused Hungary of preventing access to 11 Ukrainian prisoners of war that Russia handed over to the EU country. Hungary has maintained ties with Russia during the invasion of Ukraine. The prisoners are being kept in isolation and are denied contact with the Ukrainian embassy. Hungary has informed the Ukrainian authorities about the transfer, but due to a long-running feud over minority rights in the Transcarpathian region, Budapest has also vowed to hold up Kyiv's efforts toward EU and NATO membership.
