Turkish candidate's withdrawal boosts Erdogan's election prospects.

Turkish President Erdogan accused opposition leader Kemal Kilicdaroglu of playing a role in Muharrem Ince's withdrawal from the presidential race and used terrorism rhetoric to tarnish the opposition's image. Ince withdrew following allegations that a sex tape leaked on the internet belonged to him. Erdogan criticized Kilicdaroglu for using a tape to take down a presidential candidate and accused him of using Fethullahist Terrorist Organization (FETO) methods. Kilicdaroglu became the CHP chairman after former party leader Deniz Baykal resigned from the post in May 2010, similarly due to an alleged sex tape.
