Suspended Nigeria Central Bank Governor Arrested by Security Agency.

Godwin Emefiele, the suspended governor of Nigeria's central bank, has been arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS) for "investigative reasons." Emefiele had been removed from his post on Friday evening by Nigeria's recently installed president, Bola Tinubu, as part of an "ongoing investigation of his office and the planned reforms in the banking sector." Emefiele had been criticized for a number of decisions made while running the Central Bank of Africa's largest economy, most recently for the replacement of old currency with new notes in an attempt to crack down on corruption.
