Spain Exhumes Remains of Fascist Falange Party Founder After Years of Waiting

The remains of fascist leader José Antonio Primo de Rivera were exhumed from the Valley of the Fallen in Madrid, as part of Spain's Democratic Memory Law. The law aims to give justice to the victims of the Spanish civil war and its long dictatorship. However, families of other victims are still struggling to remove their loved ones from the same building due to legal hurdles and struggles to identify unmarked graves. The exhumation of Primo de Rivera was requested by his family and he was reburied at a Madrid cemetery.
