"Russian Officials Vanish Amid Post-Mutiny Purges, Raising Concerns"

Following the mutiny led by Yevgeny Prigozhin, a number of prominent Russian commanders and public figures have disappeared from public view, suggesting a post-mutiny purge. President Vladimir Putin has expressed his intention to root out those who have allied themselves with Prigozhin, both inside and outside the military. The scope and scale of the purge are unclear, but some speculate that Putin's entourage may become more actively involved in shaping the trajectory of his regime. Among those who have gone missing are General Sergei Surovikin, commander of Russia's aerospace forces, and Yevgeny Prigozhin himself. Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov have also not been seen or heard from since the mutiny. Meanwhile, Viktor Zolotov, Putin's longtime bodyguard, has seen his public presence grow considerably.
