Russian Bombings and Assassinations: Political Tensions Rise.

Vyacheslav Volodin, a close ally of Vladimir Putin, has blamed President Biden for the St. Petersburg bomb attack that killed a Russian blogger and injured dozens of others. Russian authorities had blamed the attack on Ukraine’s secret service and supporters of opposition activist Alexei Navalny. Volodin accused Washington and Brussels of supporting the Kyiv authorities, leading to the creation of a terrorist state in the center of Europe. He added that other “terrorist attacks” targeting pro-war Russian journalists had been prevented by the FSB.
