PM Modi and Saudi Arabia coordinate safe evacuation of Indians from violence-hit Sudan.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a high-level meeting to review the situation of over 3,000 Indian citizens in violence-hit Sudan and directed officials to prepare contingency evacuation plans. He emphasized the importance of maintaining close communication with neighboring countries in the region and extended all possible assistance to Indian nationals in Sudan. The conflict is a result of a power struggle within the country's military leadership between Sudan's regular army and a paramilitary force called the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
