May Day Protests in Paris Result in Hundreds of Injuries and Arrests.

Thousands of protesters marched across Paris and other French cities on May Day, galvanised by previous protests against President Emmanuel Macron’s pension reform plans. Although the demonstration was smaller than many of those before it, protesters have kept up their morale and continued to take action over the course of several months. Protesters have pinned their hopes on a possible public referendum, an option that will be reviewed by the Constitutional Council on Wednesday.
