Indian opposition parties strategize to defeat Modi in 2024.

Leaders of at least 15 opposition parties will meet in Patna to discuss a potential common minimum programme and a roadmap for the formation of a broad-based front to field one common candidate against BJP and its allies in most of the 543 Lok Sabha seats that will go to polls. The meeting, initiated by Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, will be attended by several big guns in the opposition. The deliberations will be held against the backdrop of uncertainty over the feasibility of the central objective - to collapse the battlefield into straight contests with BJP.
