Finnish leader Marin resigns as party leader.

Finland's outgoing Prime Minister, Sanna Marin, has announced that she will resign as the leader of her Social Democratic Party at the next party congress in the autumn, following her party's third-place finish in Sunday's election. Marin, who has been prime minister since 2019, will continue as a lawmaker in Parliament. She hopes to live a "slightly more peaceful life" in the future and ruled out taking a ministerial post in the new government. Talks to form a new government will begin next week under the leadership of Petteri Orpo, the head of the National Coalition Party.
