Ex-Putin Security Officer Defects and Labels Him a Paranoid War Criminal

Gleb Karakulov, a former communications expert for Russian President Vladimir Putin's personal security team, has defected and described Putin as a paranoid "war criminal" who spends most of his time living in a bunker at the Russian Embassy in Kazakhstan. Karakulov claimed that Putin fears assassination plots and only receives news from people close to him, living in an "information vacuum." He fled in October with his wife and young daughter, motivated by seeing his child being brainwashed in preschool.
