Erdogan's Health Issues Disrupt Campaign Rallies and TV Interview.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan cancelled planned campaign events after falling ill during a live TV broadcast on Tuesday night. Erdogan, who is facing the toughest election of his 20-year rule, was due to hold rallies in three different Turkish cities on Wednesday, but will be replaced by his vice-president, Fuat Oktay. Erdogan explained he had suffered from a “serious stomach cold” and had considered canceling the interview after doing “intense campaign work” on Monday and Tuesday. The opposition coalition, made up of six parties from across the political spectrum, has united behind Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who is ahead in the polls.
