China Stands by Russia Amidst Political Turmoil.

China has praised Russian President Vladimir Putin's "strategic guidance" and called for stability in the country after a short-lived military rebellion challenging his rule. Beijing had remained silent throughout the rebellion, but later expressed support for Russia in safeguarding national stability and delivering development and prosperity. Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu also emphasized the deepening of political trust between China and Russia under the strategic guidance of Presidents Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin. However, Beijing has urged Moscow to keep China informed in the future.
