China slams NATO's "threat" label.

China's embassy to Norway has expressed its strong opposition to NATO's repeated labelling of China as a threat, urging the organisation to stop stirring up regional conflicts and creating divisions. The embassy's statement comes after NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg accused China of threatening neighbouring countries and suppressing those that do not comply with it. The embassy also criticised certain NATO members for extending beyond traditional defence regions and establishing close military contacts with countries in the Asia-Pacific, which it said results in escalating tensions.
