Chechen Leader's Ally Injured in Ukraine as Russia-Ukraine Conflict Escalates

Adam Delimkhanov, a Russian lawmaker from Chechnya and close ally of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, has been wounded in Ukraine, according to Russian media reports. Delimkhanov's exact condition and location are unclear, but earlier unconfirmed reports suggested he had been killed in Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region. Delimkhanov is a Hero of the Russian Federation and has been a deputy in Russia's lower house of parliament since 2007. He is also under US and EU sanctions.
