"Railway Bridge Collapses in Southern Norway Amid Storm Hans"

A railway bridge in southern Norway collapsed into a river due to Storm Hans, causing damage to the infrastructure. The Randklev Bridge, part of the Dovre line connecting Oslo and Trondheim, slid into the Lågen River during the storm, which also resulted in record high river levels, landslides, and evacuations. The state-owned rail infrastructure company, Bane Nor, is assessing the extent of the damage and cannot determine when the bridge will reopen. Other parts of the railway line have also been affected. The cause of the collapse is unknown, but it occurred during an "extreme flood situation."
