"Devastating Consequences of Heavy Rains: Flash Floods and Landslides Ravage Northwest China"

At least 21 people have died and six others are missing after heavy rains triggered a flash flood and landslide in the outskirts of Xi'an city in northwest China. The disaster caused blackouts, damaged infrastructure, and destroyed two houses in a mountainside village. This comes as parts of China experience extreme weather events, including record high temperatures and deadly flooding, which experts attribute to climate change. Rescue efforts are ongoing, with nearly 1,000 workers deployed to the affected area. Additionally, major flooding in northeastern China has claimed the lives of at least 29 people in Hebei province and 33 in Beijing.
