"Deadly Landslide Buries Dozens in Southwest China"

A landslide in Yunnan province, China buried 47 people, killing at least two and forcing the evacuation of 200 more amid freezing temperatures and falling snow. Rescue efforts are underway to find victims buried in 18 separate houses, while survivors and rescuers struggle with snow and freezing temperatures. Last year, natural disasters in China left 691 people dead and missing, causing direct economic losses of about 345 billion yuan ($48 billion).
