Iranian-Supplied Drones: The Weapon of Choice for Houthis and Russians

The Defense Intelligence Agency has revealed that Houthi rebels in Yemen and Russian troops in Ukraine are both using Iranian-supplied attack drones, with similarities found in the drones used by both forces. The agency's report highlights the use of Iranian drones, such as the Waid 1 and 2, by the Houthi militants and the Russian Geran-1 and -2, which are rebranded versions of Iranian drones. The U.S. Navy has intercepted numerous Iranian drones bound for the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden, while the Ukrainian military is facing a "drone war" in Eastern Europe. The findings underscore concerns about Iran's influence abroad and its supply of weapons to various militias and forces.
