A bartender with over 1.5 million followers on TikTok has gone viral for showing how he cuts off his friends from drinking too much alcohol. Benji Smith, known as @BenjiSpears on TikTok, reenacted his secret drink cutoff technique by pretending to pour a clear spirit while spraying a clear carbonated beverage with his soda gun. He finishes the non-alcoholic drink by pretending to pour another liquor in, spraying a red-hued soda and squeezing a lime wedge before serving. Many TikTok users have praised Smith's trick, while some bartenders have admitted to using the same technique.
