"Russia's Massive Air Strikes Leave Ukraine in Darkness"

Russia launched a massive aerial attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, using over 150 missiles and drones to knock out power to swathes of the country and badly damage its largest hydroelectric power station. At least three people were killed and 15 others injured, with emergency shutdowns of electricity in multiple regions. The attack came as Ukraine faces severe shortages of air defense ammunition, and a stalled $60 billion military aid package in Congress. Ukraine has also defended recent attacks on Russia's oil industry, despite U.S. officials urging them to halt over fears of driving up global oil prices.
