Russia Foils Ukrainian Crossing of Dnipro in Kherson Region

Russian forces claim to have thwarted Ukrainian attempts to cross the Dnipro River in the Kherson region, stating that Ukrainian "sabotage and reconnaissance" teams were stopped near several villages. The Russian defense ministry also reported destroying Ukrainian personnel, water-crossing equipment, and vehicles in the area. However, these claims could not be independently verified. Ukrainian forces had previously recaptured parts of the Kherson region but Russian forces retreated to the other side of the Dnipro River and continue to shell the city of Kherson.
