North Korea Eases Covid Curbs, Allowing Citizens Abroad to Return Home

North Korea has approved the return of its citizens who were abroad during the COVID-19 pandemic, as the country eases its strict border restrictions. The approval comes after an Air Koryo flight from Pyongyang landed in Beijing, indicating the return of North Koreans who were stuck in China due to border closures. The returned citizens will undergo a week of medical observation in quarantine wards. While cargo train and ship traffic has slowly increased, North Korea has only recently started allowing some international passenger travel.
