Belarus Allegedly Building Army Camp for Wagner Group Fighters

Satellite images suggest that Belarus has built a military-style camp near the town of Osipovichi, potentially to house fighters from the Wagner mercenary group. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko offered the abandoned military unit to the Wagner fighters as part of a deal to end a rebellion in Russia. The camp construction was confirmed by the leader of an exiled Belarusian guerrilla organization. Reports suggest that up to 8,000 Wagner fighters may be deployed in Belarus, prompting Ukraine to strengthen its border with Belarus. Lukashenko has previously allowed the Kremlin to use Belarusian territory for military purposes, including the deployment of Russian troops and weapons.
