Mia Leimberg, a 17-year-old Israeli teen, has spoken about her captivity in Gaza with her dog, Bella, during the recent conflict between Israel and Hamas. Mia and her mother were taken hostage by Hamas during a killing spree in southern Israel, but were eventually released as part of a prisoner swap. Mia managed to keep Bella with her throughout their captivity, hiding her under her pyjamas and cleaning up after her to prevent detection. Mia described the experience as tough but having Bella provided moral support. She expressed her determination to fight for the freedom of the remaining hostages still in captivity.
