Pope Francis recovering well after abdominal surgery.

Pope Francis' condition is progressively improving and he has resumed some Church work from his hospital armchair after undergoing a successful three-hour surgery to repair an abdominal hernia. The Vatican stated that his post-surgical recovery is normal and he should have no limitations on his travels and other activities after he recovers. The pope is expected to recite his traditional noon prayer from the balcony of his 10th-floor suite at Rome's Gemelli hospital this Sunday.
