Czech Republic Purchases CV90 Infantry Fighting Vehicles for $2.2B, Delivery to Ukraine Imminent.

The Czech Republic has signed a $2.2bn contract with BAE Systems Hägglunds to procure 246 MkIV CV90s, with 140 of the platforms expected to be Infantry Fighting Vehicle variants featuring Hägglunds’ D-Series turret with a 30 millimeter cannon. Meanwhile, CV90 IFVs are expected to be operational in Ukraine within days, with the Swedish government offering to assist Ukraine in the procurement of additional CV90s in the future.
